About Me

Greetings! My name is William Padfield and I am currently pursuing a masters degree in experimental psychology at Missouri State University. My research interests include linguistics, politics, media, broadcasting, statistics, and the myriad ways in which psychology interacts with them.

Currently, I work in the Psychology Department’s DOOM Lab under Dr. Erin M. Buchanan, assisting with research on topics including political language and moral foundations in writing, speech, and public discourse. I also work as a graduate assistant for Ozarks Public Broadcasting, a university-licensed NPR and PBS member station. I work with individual donors as well as coordinating the volunteer program.
